JOHNSON COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation is postponing work on Interstate 65 near Worthsville Road in Johnson County to overnight hours after the Thanksgiving weekend.
Operations originally had been scheduled for today and Monday.
When the road work begins, with lane closings planned, it will be between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. as needed.
E&B Paving and Gradex are the contractors for a $16 million “diverging diamond” interchange project on I-65 at 750N and Worthsville Road. Demolition of the Worthsville Road bridge overpass over I-65 is planned for December. Once removed, construction for a new 246-foot 2-span concrete beam replacement bridge will begin.
