‘Design that Matters’ session set for Ivy Tech

The School of Fine Arts & Design at Ivy Tech Community College Columbus will have a “ReTh!nk: Design That Matters” session from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.

This is the fifth session in the series and will be in the Summerville Room in the main Ivy Tech building, 4475 Central Ave.

The sessions focus on connecting critical thinking in art and design with the development of the State Street Corridor in east Columbus.

At the session, CODO Design from Indianapolis will present an approach to brand development and working “shoulder to shoulder” with their clients in the creative process.

CODO will lead a creative exercise by dividing students into small groups and having them generate branding solutions for random hypothetical companies.

CODO provides services for companies including 450 North Brewing Co., Piazza Produce, Metonymy Media and Indy Food Council, among others.

The event is open to the public and refreshments will be provided.
