Music education back in the spotlight

While you’re considering stepping out amid a range of local events, the Columbus Area Arts Council hopes you might consider where the arts are stepping these days to bolster learning and education. Charles “Rusty” Briel, executive director at the Indiana State School Music Association, will be the keynote speaker at the council’s annual meeting at 5 p.m. March 10 at YES Cinema, 328 Jackson St. in Columbus. His focus will be the importance of music and arts education.
