Rita F. Patterson, 57, of North Vernon, died at 4:43 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Rita was a homemaker and was formerly employed at Lowe’s in North Vernon.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating.
Family and friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Saturday.

Born in Columbus, April 29, 1957, Mrs. Patterson was the daughter of Hubert and Priscilla Brooks Giles.
She married Robert B. Patterson March 30, 1996.
Survivors include her husband; children, Phillip (Katrina Powers) Fields of North Vernon, Brandi (Carrly) Isbell of North Vernon, Robert (Brandy) Patterson of Greenwood, Kara (Nathan) Sweany of Indianapolis and Samantha Burton of Indianapolis; brothers, Terry Giles of Louisiana and Jerry Giles of Columbus; sisters, Diana Burton of Columbus and Connie Kabir of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Tyler Fields, Joseph (Paige) Fields, Dalilah Fields, Julliana Burton, Jazmine Powers, Carrly Isbell, Cailey Isbell, Cami Isbell, Braden Isbell, Kaylee Patterson and Xander Patterson; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
