Donald Jackson, assistant treasurer at Cummins Inc., has been named vice president and treasurer and will replace the retiring Richard Harris, vice president and chief investment officer, starting May 1.

During his 12-year career with Cummins, Harris instituted many improvements in the company’s global treasury function in the areas of cash management, pensions and currency and commodity hedging programs as well as others.

Jackson joined Cummins in 2013 after 17 years with Compaq/Hewlett-Packard, where he held a number of senior financial and treasury positions. He is a graduate of Texas Christian University, with a degree in business administration, and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Rice University.

Cummins also announced the retirement of Karen Battin, vice president — controller for the engine business, is retiring after 17 years of service, effective May 1.

Since joining Cummins in 1998, Battin has held a number of positions in accounting and investor relations, and served as controller in the power generation business.
