Mega Sports Camp coming to First Christian

First Christian Church will host Mega Sports Camp from 8:30 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday for grades kindergarten through 6.

The spring break sports camp, which is in its third year, will feature baseball, basketball, cheerleading, flag football, running and soccer. Kids will work on drills and skill development and will have object lessons, music and Bible stories to help develop character, confidence and self-esteem.

North girls soccer offers open-field sessions

The Columbus North girls soccer team is having open-field sessions from 6 to 7 a.m. Wednesday and Friday on the North football field.

Players should dress according to the weather and bring turf, gym and running shoes.

Dunn Stadium summer league sign-ups continue

Registration for summer men’s and women’s and coed softball leagues at Dunn Stadium will continue through Saturday. Men’s and women’s leagues will be Wednesday nights, and the coed league will be Thursday nights.

Church league sign-ups will continue through April 15. Games will be played Friday nights beginning May 1.

Dates announced for Ceraland spring leagues

Ceraland has announced dates for its basketball, golf, softball and sandpit volleyball leagues.

For basketball, there will be a Monday Corporate League beginning April 13 and a Wednesday Open League beginning April 15. Costs are $425 for the Monday night league and $325 for the Wednesday night league, and those costs include a sports and fitness center fee.

The golf leagues will be Mondays and Thursdays at Otter Creek and begin April 13 and 16. Cost is $20 per league for a nonpass holder and $10 for a pass holder. Each league is limited to 14 teams.

The CERA men’s softball league starts April 30 and will be played from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursdays. Cost is $400 per team. The league will consist of a 10-game season, with a single-elimination tournament.

For sandpit volleyball, the coed intermediate league starts May 4, the Tuesday King and Queen league begins May 5 and the coed competitive league starts May 7. Cost is $100 for the coed intermediate and competitive leagues.

Broomball sign-ups underway for leagues

Signups are under way for three broomball leagues at Hamilton Center Ice Arena.

The 3-on-3 Small Ice League will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursdays beginning May 14. Players can sign up as a team or as an individual to be placed on a team.

Summer Session No. 1 will be from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. Tuesdays from June 2 to 30. Players sign up individually and will be drafted to a team.

Summer Session No. 2 will be July 14 to Aug. 11. Players will be redrafted following Summer Session No. 1.

East plans basketball meeting for freshmen

Columbus East’s girls basketball meeting for incoming freshmen will be at 5:30 p.m. March 31 in Room G043 of the high school.

Players and parents are welcome. Coaches will share information about the program and spring and summer schedules and will answer questions.
