Jennifer M. (Joganic) Knue, 32, of Fairland, passed from this life on March 20, 2015.
She was born in Hammond, Indiana, on June 19, 1982, and while growing up she lived in Lafayette, Indiana, New Albany, Indiana, and Nashville, Tennessee, before settling in the Columbus area.
She was a 2001 graduate of Columbus East, earning her CNA. She worked at Four Seasons Retirement Community and for Kindercare in Columbus before moving into her new role as a homemaker.
She loved raising her daughter, Audrey, and introducing her to her love of nature by taking her to the zoo, gardening and spending time outdoors. She also passed to her daughter the love of the water and never missed a chance to go to the beach.
Survivors include her beautiful daughter, Audrey Faith Marie Knue of Columbus; her parents, Tom and Maria Joganic of Elizabethtown; her aunts and uncles, Chuck and Yvonne Bishop of Poulsbo, Washington, Bill and Elaine Jonaitis of Highland, Indiana, Kevin and Mitzie McAvoy of Decatur, Illinois, and Barry Flynn and JoAnn Joganic of St. Petersburg, Florida; and her cousins, Steve (Julie) and Scott (Jessica) Bishop, Danny Jonaitis, Stacy (Nate) Poehlman, and Michael and Brian McAvoy.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. A funeral service is not planned. Cremation will take place following the visitation. Inurnment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Bartholomew County Humane Society, New Hope of Indianapolis, Indiana, or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
