Harold C. Crater II, 82, of Winamac, Indiana, passed away at 12:39 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2015, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac.
He was born June 10, 1932, in Lafayette, Indiana, to Harold C. Crater I and Frances Helene Williams Crater. Harold married Betty Jean Russell June 16, 1954, in Winamac. She preceded him in death June 22, 1998.
Survivors include sons, David R. (Kim) Crater of Butler, Pennsylvania, and William F. Crater of Winamac; daughters, Rebecca H. Crater of Winamac and Patricia C. Balcolm of Winamac; grandchildren, Jeramie (Shelli) Crater, Donald (Liz) Crater, Peter (Andi) Crater, Jason (Laura) Crater, Brent Crater, Kelley (Ben Enge) Crater, Matthew Crater, Elizabeth Crater, Nicholas Balcolm and Brian (Chantel) Balcolm; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a son, Harold C. Crater III; and a great-grandson, Landon Matthew King.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. EDT Friday, March 27, 2015, at First United Methodist Church of Winamac, with Barbara Kleinofen officiating.
Private burial will take place in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Frain Mortuary, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to First United Methodist Church of Winamac.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
