Elizabeth Jane “Betsy” Simpson of Ellenton, Florida, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
Mrs. Simpson grew up in Dover Plains, New York and graduated from the State University of New York at Plattsburg with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, in 1957. After many years of clinical nursing, she dedicated the last 20 years of her career to teaching nursing at Indiana Vocational Technical College in Columbus, Indiana.
As a nurse, she devoted herself, even to the last day of her life, to the care of others.
Mrs. Simpson is survived by her husband, Calvin B. Simpson; her children, David Tyndall (Jana) and Barbara Hall (Larry), both of Columbus, Indiana, and Patrick Tyndall (Gayle) of Simpsonville, South Carolina; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her sister, Joan Newman of Wappingers Falls, New York, and her brother, Roy Humeston of Dover Plains.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Claire Maholchic, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 31, 2015, with a memorial service at 1 p.m. at Cremeens eFuneral Home, 823 Elm Street, Racine, Ohio.
