Sunday yoga event raising funds for former Columbus man

Yoga instructor Amanda Hummer is hosting a Donation Based Yoga event to help Mac DeClue, a former Columbus resident who is being treated for brain cancer.

The event will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Fifth Street Yoga studio, 422½ Fifth St., Suite 7, but might move to Mill Race Park depending on the number of participants.

Participants are asked to sign up for email notifications on the studio’s website to learn whether the event is moved to the park. The website is 5thstreetyoga.com.

All donations will be given to the DeClue family to help with medical expenses.

DeClue, 29, was diagnosed with Grade IV Glioblastoma Multiforme, an aggressive form of brain cancer. He had surgery to successfully remove two tumors and now is beginning treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
