A 5K/15K walk, ruck march or run to honor the sacrifice of local Indiana National Guard members and their families starts at 9 a.m. April 18 at the Jennings County Fairgrounds, 4920 N. State Road 3, and follows routes in the county.
Day-of-event registration and packet pickup begins at 8:15 a.m. The registration date to guarantee an event T-shirt has been extended to April 10. Entries received by mail or day-of entries will not be guaranteed a T-shirt.
Money raised will be donated to the Indiana National Guard Emergency Fund, the local Family Readiness Group and the Wounded Warrior Project. The event is family friendly and families with children are encouraged to participate.
The event will include a display of approximately 20 Quilts of Valor made by members of the local quilting club, Harmony Quilters, as well as other patriotic displays.
