Marcella M. Sharp, 94, of Lafayette, died Sunday, April 5, 2015, at St. Mary Health Care. She was born December 30, 1920, in Columbus, Indiana, to the late George and Phoebe Gossett.

Marcella graduated from Jackson Township High School in Westport, Indiana, and the Indiana Conservatory of Music in Indianapolis.

On May 9, 1942, she married Robert Sharp in Westport. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2002.

Marcella worked for ARAMARK Refreshments for many years and was retired. She was a member of First Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star and Women of the Moose. She was an avid golfer, seamstress and card player. She enjoyed cooking and was an accomplished baker.

Surviving is her son, James R. Sharp (Carol) of Lafayette; grandchildren, Miranda Struthers (Blake), Carrie Trotter (William), Nick Sharp and Tyler Sharp; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great- granddaughter.

Marcella was preceded in death by a son, John Michael Sharp, two brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, with the Rev. Greg Eberhard officiating.
