Lorraine Landreth, 102, of Columbus, died at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Lorraine was born December 15, 1912, in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Owen Leslie and Bessie Patterson Doty. She retired in 1988 after 25 years in the custodial department of Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. After retirement she worked in the Foster Grandparent program with Head Start and worked at the Boys and Girls Club.
She was a former member of Columbus Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Landreth of Columbus; grandchildren, April Burnett of Columbus, Teresa (Larry) Greathouse of Hope and Kenneth G. (Valarie) Landreth of Belleview, Florida; eight great-granddaughters; two great-great-grandsons; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Rita Gidney, Ruth Southard and Fern Marie Dorsey.
In keeping with Lorraine’s wishes, there will be no service. She will be cremated and private inurnment will be at Flatrock Baptist Cemetery.
