Bashie Lee Burton, 87, of Edinburgh, died Monday, May 11, 2015, at Reid Hospital and Health Services of Richmond.
She is survived by daughters, Vena (Joe) Pearson of Taylorsville, Wilma (Alvin) Roark of Ewing, Virginia, Jan (Daniel) Martin of Edinburgh and Betty (Jack) Bailey of Indianapolis; stepsons, Ronald D. (Joyce) Burton of Shelbyville and Edward (Jill) Burton of Lakeland, Florida; a brother, Paul Ayers of Ewing; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Burton, and a son, Hubert “Hubie” Ayers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Who-So-Ever Will Community Church in Edinburgh with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
