Beatrice “Bea” Badger, 86, of Brown County, formerly of Georgetown Road, passed from this life at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Brown County Health & Living Community.

Bea worked at Camp Atterbury when she came to Indiana from Kentucky and for many years worked at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Columbus.

She loved doing things with her children as well as her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and was known by everyone as being a jokester.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Charles Wright officiating.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. today and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday.

Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Born in Adair County, Kentucky, October 15, 1928, Mrs. Badger was the daughter of Moss and Orlena Burton.

She married Marvin “Dale” Badger Sr., April 6, 1946. He preceded her in death September 15, 2010.

Survivors include her children, Marvin “Dale” (Pam) Badger Jr. of Brown County, Janette “Sue” (David) Wright of Brown County, Peggy (Matt Runge) Wheat of Brown County, Ruby (Earl) Pruitt of Brown County, Trudy (Roland) Gernert of Seymour and Betty (Tash) Collier of Ellettsville; sisters, Zannie Estes of Kentucky, Elnora Burton of Edinburgh and Naomi Weber of Edinburgh; 13 grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Luther Burton and Moss Burton Jr.; sisters, Annie Burton, Alma Hood, Cecil Knight and Elzada Badger; a granddaughter, Leslie Badger; and a great-grandson, Trever Bohanan.
