Men’s chorus presenting free concert at Borth Christian

Bloomington’s Quarryland Men’s Chorus will present “Heart and Soul,” a free concert featuring the Music of Hoagy Carmichael, Cole Porter and others, at 6:30 p.m. June 6 at Columbus’ North Christian Church, 850 Tipton Lane.

Quarryland is a positive, performance-based community for gay and bisexual men and their allies in south central Indiana. The Chorus fosters talent, fellowship, pride and understanding through excellence in vocal music, according to organizers.

Its mixed repertoire of classical, traditional and contemporary song appeals to a broad audience across Indiana. Part of the group’s mission is to educate the general public in and promote the development of choral music and other art forms through concerts and performances.

A brief discussion and reception will follow the concert. A free-will offering will be taken.
