• all of the girls at the health department for my wonderful retirement dinner, gift and cake, from Margaret Blessing.

• the tall, handsome man at the post office for sharing his stamps with me.

• the Yeaton family for an awesome service at Flat Rock Christian Church.

• Joann Bozzell for the beautiful 90th birthday party she gave me, from Lorene Reynolds.

• White Creek Lutheran teachers, principal and staff for the knowledge, encouragement and support you have given us, from 2015 eighth-grade class.

• Mrs. Samantha Wallace at Rockcreek Elementary for being a wonderful teacher and making our daughter feel special each and every day, making getting her up and ready for school much easier.

• Vicki and Brandy at Southern Indiana Orthopedics for going above and beyond to help my husband be ready for his long-awaited surgery, from Dawn.

• the W.D. Richards Elementary School staff, PTO parent volunteers and students for making the 2014-15 field day the best one ever, from Richards’ office staff.

• coach Burton and coach Miller, along with the East JV baseball team, for a wonderful undefeated season.

• Mayor Kristen Brown and Justin Hohn on their views and backbone regarding tax abatements to businesses as they shouldn’t be passed out freely.

Onions to …

• the school corporation that lets loyal, long-term employees go due to funding and then posts jobs in the same field as available three weeks later.

• those who like dirty politics.

• the neighbor who blows his grass out into the street.

• owners of the big black-and-white dog that came down the alley and ate all the food I had out for the kitties.

• the husband who waits until his wife has everything done before he offers to help.

• people who leave their dogs out on chains in the hot weather without any shade, food or water.

• the defeated candidate who still has no humility.

• people who mow their grass into the street.

• those who don’t realize the best car prices have always been out of town.

• whomever is responsible for moving the Colts Fan Fest from the college area to the cramped downtown area in front of The Commons.

• those who don’t understand if someone is not paying their share of taxes because of a special break, then other taxpayers must pick up the tab.

• the delusional who don’t understand we’re all equal today except a special interest group who wants to be more equal than others.

• owners of multiple dogs who do not train them or pick up after them.

• the drive-thru restaurant which is open 24 hours a day but was only selling pies and fountain drinks at 5 a.m.
