2005

Scouring pads and rolls of tape forced a partial closure of Interstate 65 at Walesboro after a semitrailer sideswiped the overpass at County Road 350S, ripping the truck open like a can opener. Green, red and yellow packages covered hundreds of feet of the road’s northbound side.

1990

A band of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes that rolled across southeastern Indiana caused serious damage and injuries in Jackson and Jennings counties. Brown, Bartholomew and Decatur counties escaped the brunt of the storm.

1965

The Reeves Town House plan for Forest Park West subdivision was approved by the Columbus Plan Commission and forwarded to the zoning board for final consideration.
