’50s, ’60s revue set tonight at Pixy

Singer Mike Archer of Indianapolis will perform “The ’50s and ’60s Revue” at 7 p.m. today at Edinburgh’s Pixy Theater, 111 S. Walnut St.

The performance will include cover tunes from artists such as Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, the Everly Brothers, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and others.

Archer will intersperse stories about the artists and songs into the concert. The singer performs mostly throughout Indiana and his native Kentucky presenting his original songs. He has recorded two albums of his own songs.

Among his first public shows years ago was as a rhythm guitarist in a band that opened for country artist Joe Diffie.

Admission is $10.
