Bull Dogs best Perry Meridian

Alex Munnicha shot the low round of 40, leading Columbus North to a 173-190 victory against Perry Meridian on Monday at Harrison Lake.

The Bull Dogs have moved up to No. 3 in the statewide rankings.

Holly Anderson recorded a 43 while Aubrey Smith carded a 44 for North.

Also for the Bull Dogs, Danbi Kim shot 46, Maddy Neal had a 47 and Julia Luken finished at 48 against the Falcons.

Eagles, Lancers fall

EDINBURGH — Whiteland, which had a 184, downed Brown County (221) and Edinburgh (238) in a three-team girls golf match at Timbergate Golf Course.

Whiteland had co-medalists Savannah Craven, Audrey Eckart and Brianna Harwell, who all shot 45.

For Edinburgh, Mariah Weddle shot 55 followed by Vanessa McManaway at 60, Savannah Bippus at 61, Emma Westerfeld and Abi Scrogham at 62 and McKenzie Hill at 70.

For Brown County, Emma Bawinkel led the way at 49 followed by Ashley Masteller at 50, Morgan Harrison at 59, Megan Cassiday at 63, Tori Akles at 65 and Kasey Kleinhenz at 66.

Owls lose to Bulldogs

FLOYDS KNOBS — Seymour couldn’t match host New Albany in a dual match at Valley View Golf Course.

The Owls dropped a 204-225 decision. New Albany’s Kayla Hook was the medalist with a 43.

For Seymour, Hannah Thompson shot a 46, followed by Bailey Goben at 56, Andrea Axsom at 59, Jenna Ebler at 64 and Kara Rice at 68.
