3-vehicle incident during rush hour leads to minor injuries

A three-vehicle accident at State Road 46 and Goeller Boulevard resulted in minor injuries.

The accident was reported at 8:09 a.m. Thursday, Columbus police said.

Colton D. Aldridge, 24, 553 Kinney Lane, was traveling west on State Road 46 in a 2003 Ford F250 and thought he had enough time to make a left turn onto Goeller Boulevard before an eastbound vehicle entered the intersection, police said.

The eastbound vehicle, a 2015 Jeep, was driven by Isabelle Yu, 69, address unavailable. Yu told police she had a green light when Aldridge’s vehicle turned in front of her and the vehicles collided.

A driver behind Yu, Linda Grove-Paul, 50, Bloomington, driving a 2014 Toyota Corolla, said she could not avoid rear-ending the Jeep when it collided with the truck.

After the collision, the Ford pickup rolled onto its top, police said.

Yu was treated at the scene, and Grove-Paul refused treatment, according to the accident report. Aldridge was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital with a complaint of head pain and was treated and released, hospital officials said.
