Comic comes home for show at Harlequin

Columbus native Jeff Bodart finds himself on the road a lot as a nationally touring comic. Which can lead to boredom.

Which can lead to some solitary creativity.

“Long drives lead to singing all the road signs,” Bodart posted on Facebook recently.

Those signs point to Columbus’ Harlequin Theatre in FairOaks Mall, 2380 25th St., where he will headline a show with Danny Browning opening at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 28.

Bodart, who launched a comedy career in 2001 while he still worked as graphic artist at The Republic, now fills in as a guest host on the syndicated radio and TV program “The Bob & Tom Show.” He also recently won the first round of a Comedy Central standup competition.

Bodart has said in the past that he tries his best to bring nearly all new material to local shows.

Tickets are $15 in advance at the mall and $20 at the door.
