Mrs. Shirley Ann Cummings, 73, of Edinburgh, formerly of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2012, at home, with her family by her side. She was born April 11, 1942, in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Charles Fitchew and Flossie Mae (Fox) Lee.

Shirley was baptized and received the Holy Ghost in the Apostolic faith here at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church. She had worked for 23 years at Schneck Medical Center in the housekeeping department. She then went to work at the Holiday Inn for two years. She enjoyed taking walks and loved her pets.

On July 11, 1965, she married Marion Fleenor in Brownstown. He passed away November 5, 1970.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Rita (Dan) Garvey; brothers, Jack William, Johnny and Billie James Lee; a sister, Betty Jean Hamilton; a stepson, Marvin Fleenor; and a stepdaughter, Donna Fleenor.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her stepfather, Curtis Edward Lee; a brother, Charles Lee; and a sister, Catherine Elizabeth Anderson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour with the Rev. Dennis Allman officiating.
