East student organizing golf outing fundraiser

A Columbus East student is organizing a golf tournament to benefit the Bartholomew County Humane Society on Oct. 3.Megan Hashimoto is seeking area businesses and organizations willing to sponsor various aspects of the tournament, such as sponsoring a shelter animal or being an event, hole or T-shirt sponsor.The event will be at the Clifty Creek Golf Course. The first nine holes will be played with a cart, and then there will be a break and a second nine holes will be played.

Cost will be $50 per player, with a $40 student rate.

There will be prizes for the longest drive, closest to the pin and hole-in-one.
