James Walter “Jim” Royce, 81, of Madison, died at 6:24 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at University of Louisville Hospital in Kentucky.
Survivors include a son, James S. (Robin) Royce of Columbus; a daughter, Beth McKinney of Henderson, Kentucky; a brother, Donald Royce of Madison; sisters, Joann Goins of Madison and Barbara L. (Robert) Lutz of Bloomington; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Martha Ellen Shipley Royce; and a daughter, Peggy Lynn Crank.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, with Bro. Bob Hicks officiating. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
