La Donna Jean Hogan Young, 78, of Newell, Iowa, a native of Columbus, died Aug. 12, 2015, at Hospice With Heart in Glenwood, Iowa.
Survivors include siblings, Willene (Ed) Howell of Lebanon, Nancy Sharon Routier of Columbus, Denise Hogan of Freetown, Kimberly Hogan Fox of Martinsville, Shawn Patrick Hogan of Martinsville, and Tim Hogan of Orange Park, Florida; her children, Craig D. Young of Pasadena, California, Michael A. Young of Phalen, California, La Nice E. Young of Columbus, and E. Alex Young of Redford, Michigan; adopted sons, John Rooks and Paul Rooks of Edinburgh; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 5, 2015, at Columbus Municipal Airport. Private burial will be at Bethel Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
