Jessica Lee “Jess” Gillick, 47, Martinsville, passed suddenly from this life on Monday, August 24, 2015, at her residence.
She was born February 12, 1968, in Washington, Indiana, to the late Norman Lee Gillick and Susan Lynn Elkin.
Jess was a graduate of Columbus East High School with the Class of 1986 and recently received her associate degree in hospitality management from Ivy Tech College. She adored time at the beach, flower gardening, music and time shared with her family. She was also an avid reader and took great pleasure sitting under shade trees and reading.
She cleaned houses for many people in the area and was a dedicated mother.
Jess will be dearly missed by her loving family including her daughter, Sophia Paige Gillick of Martinsville; three sisters, Ramona (Reed) England of Columbus, Stacie (Troy) Hiatt of Martinsville and Lisa Blair of Louisville, Kentucky; three nieces, Lindsey Hiatt, Rianne England and Lindsey Duong; and three nephews, Reed England II, Riley England and Christopher Blair.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 2-3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28th, at Liberty Christian Church, 2010 Liberty Church Rd., Martinsville, Indiana. A memorial service celebrating Jess’s life will begin at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 28th, at the church.
