Surrounded by her family, Lillian (Anderson) Wentworth Henderson, 87, of Brown County, went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2015, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She was born June 22, 1928, in Vevay, Indiana, to Earl and Marguerite Anderson.

Lillian is survived by her husband, Ollen Henderson; daughters: Joyce Thompson and Kimberly (Jim) Lipton; sons: Harry (Virgie) Wentworth and Kevin Wentworth; sister, Paulene Mason; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Harry Wentworth Sr.; grandson, Timothy Thompson; granddaughter, Michelle Young; as well as three sisters and six brothers.

Lillian was a proud and faithful member of Unity Baptist Church for over 60 years. She was also known in Brown County for her work as a candy maker and then cashier at The Candy Dish for 27 years, retiring in 2010, when she was 82. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Lillian will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

The Rev. Fred Harrison and the Rev. Lee Snider will conduct a funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday, August 31, at Unity Baptist Church, 7361 Spearsville Road in Brown County. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, August 30, at the church. A graveside service and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Vevay Cemetery in Vevay, Indiana.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.

Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Lillian to the Brown County YMCA-Silver Sneakers, 105 Willow Street, Nashville, IN 47448, where for the past two years she and her daughter have enjoyed exercising together.
