The Tiptonians band won first place and the $1,000 prize in the inaugural Columbus Got Talent competition Saturday at Columbus’ Judson Erne Auditorium before a crowd of about 500 people.
Singer Donell Sallard finished in second place, and the Indian dance troupe Bhangra Beats earned third place. The People’s Choice winner, voted by the audience, was dancer Haleigh Hoffman.
