New Albany
John E. “Jack” Hosbach, 84, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015, at the Villages of Silvercrest.
He was born in New Albany and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. A retired sales representative, he was a member of Jeff Elks Club, New Albany Country Club, the American Legion and Fraternal Order of Police.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith A. Wilkes Hosbach, and his parents, Guy and Iris Ollis Hosbach.
Survivors include his son, Mark Hosbach and his wife Susan, and his longtime companion, JoAn Stephens.
A funeral service celebrating Jack’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville, 1846 E. Oak St., New Albany, with burial in Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus, IN. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorial contributions may go to the New Albany Little League Baseball Association.
