Milford
Florence (Lunsford) Reed, 78, Milford, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015, at the St. Francis Heart Center in Indianapolis.
Born December 29, 1936, in Manchester, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Thomas and Myrtle (Rice) Lunsford.
She married the Rev. Leroy Reed on April 25, 1958, and he survives.
Together Leroy and Florence founded the Freewill Baptist Church in Milford, Indiana. She had also worked for over 30 years at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg and for 10 years at Columbus Health Center.
She is also survived by three sons, Tommy Lee (Julie) Reed of Flat Rock, Hughie Edwin (Melissa) Reed of Milford, and David Dwight (Theresa) Reed of Milford; one brother, Don Lunsford of Manchester, Kentucky; one son-in-law, Jack McCorkhill of Milford; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Fannie Marie McCorkhill; one son, Plez Reed; four brothers, Virgil, James, Bill, and Arnold Lunsford; one sister, Ollie Mae Jackson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Freewill Baptist Church in Milford.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at the church, with the Rev. Glenn Poynter and Rev. David Douglas officiating.
Interment will be held in the Milford Cemetery.
