Art class opens enrollment

First Presbyterian Preschool is now enrolling for its Pre-K Adventures in Art class.The class is open to any prekindergarten student in the community.The class meets Fridays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The cost for the first semester, which is 13 classes, is $195.

Coat drive planned for kids

Local band Relic is teaming up with the Wagner-Reddick VFW Post 1987, 215 N. National Road, for a kids’ coat drive.From noon until midnight Sept. 25, anyone wishing to donate a new, or clean and gently used child’s coat (for children in kindergarten through sixth-grade specifically) or any other kind of cold weather clothing (hats, scarves, gloves and mittens) can drop them off at the VFW.From 8 p.m. until midnight, the band Relice will take the stage. Anyone who wishes to donate during the show will receive a free Relic T-shirt while supplies last.

The show is free, open to all ages and kids age 16 and younger will receive free hot dogs.
