A plan for East Columbus Independent Fire Department to convert a northside building into a satellite fire station to provide better service to unincorporated areas of northern Columbus Township won approval from Columbus Plan Commission and moved on to Columbus City Council.

1990

A final addition to the Cummins Child Development Center at 650 Pleasant Grove, called a “miniature city for kids,” was completed, including classrooms, a soccer field and a storm room, boosting the center’s size to 31,000 square feet.

1965

Although not quite completed, a new section of Home Avenue linking 27th Street at the Northside school area to National Road was opened to traffic.
