The 14th annual Scottish Festival brought amateur athletes, herding dogs, bagpipers and vendors of Scottish food and products together at Bartholomew County Fairgrounds.

1990

Bartholomew County Council considered adding 911 “tracers” to all phone lines in the county and in Columbus to assist law enforcement officers in identifying emergency callers and their locations at an estimated cost of 40 cents per phone line.

The intersection of Home Avenue and 27th Street was made into a four-way stop and stop signs were illuminated after several accidents there.
