Norma Jean Hatton, 85, of North Vernon died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at 2:11 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015, at the home of her daughter.

She is survived by her five sons, Jamie (Lois) Hatton, Denny (Nancy) Hatton, Clyde (Susie) Hatton and Jack (Lynnetta) Hatton all of North Vernon and Greg (Barbara) Hatton of Madison; one daughter, Sheryl (Roger) Richardson of Paris Crossing; two brothers, Jack Trent of Whitesburg, Kentucky, and Gary (Carolyn) Trent of Xenia, Ohio; two sisters, Shirley Hooks of Houston, Texas and Sue Trent of Hubert Heights, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren, thirty one great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Hatton; a son, Larry V. Hatton; brothers, Bennett, James and Larry Trent; sisters, Helen Davis, Virginia Walters, Geneva Holbrook, Lucille Pain and twin siblings, Claudia and Clydia Trent.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Donnie Hamby and the Rev. Caleb Howard officiating. Family and friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Dupont Cemetery in Dupont.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Ovarian Cancer Research Fund or International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
