Police arrest Columbus man on drug-related charges

Columbus police arrested a local man at Eighth and Sycamore streets who told them he was carrying hypodermic needles in his pants pocket.

About 6 p.m. Saturday, officers spoke with Rex A. Clark, 33, 1820 10th St., said Sgt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Officers found six needles in Clark’s pants pocket and a spoon that contained methamphetamine residue, Harris said.

Clark was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug-injection device and possession of drug paraphernalia, Harris said.

He was being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $70,000 bond, jail officials said.
