National Family Week of Columbus is sponsoring two contests to engage families in the community.
National Family Week will be Nov. 23 to 27.
Bartholomew County junior high and high school students are invited to participate in an art contest to design the new National Family Week logo. The winning logo will be selected to hang on a Washington Street banner during November.
Designs should depict families activities and should include the words “National Family Week.”
Contestants should keep scale in mind when designing their logos. The banners are 31 by 90 inches.
Elementary school students also can submit drawings of family activities to be displayed Nov. 7 at City Hall.
All submissions must be sent to Maggie Wickes at [email protected] by Oct. 5.
Families may enter the National Family Week Columbus Families Got Talent contest, which will be Nov. 7.
The program will include 10 five-minute acts in the family song, story, skit or musical instrument categories.
The program will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Cal Brand meeting room on the first floor of City Hall, 123 Washington St. Chicago’s Pizza will donate one family size pizza to 12 participants in the talent show.
