The opening of the art exhibit “Colorvanes,” paintings and drawings by Erick Johnson, is 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Indiana University Center for Art and Design, 310 Jackson St., Columbus.
Drinks and light food will be served during the reception for the artist.
A panel discussion about the meaning of modern art, titled “What is Modern?”, starts at 7 p.m. and includes Johnson and fellow artist Jennifer Riley (curator of the show) and architects Louis Joyner and Kelly Wilson.
