Columbus woman arrested near school

Bartholomew County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Columbus woman who reportedly was acting erratically near Taylorsville Elementary School.

Lt. Greg Duke and Deputy Dane Duke found Danielle Law, 33, 7610 Mill Run, Columbus, in a blue pickup truck at a gas station near the school about 6:27 p.m. Monday, deputies said.

It appeared Law was driving under the influence, and a license check revealed her license was suspended, deputies said.

Narcotics paraphernalia was found inside Law’s purse, deputies said.

Law was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of paraphernalia and driving while suspended, deputies said.

She was later released from the Bartholomew County Jail after posting $12,500 bond, jail officials said.
