Homer Morgan, 85, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away September 16, 2015, at his residence. He was born January 9, 1930, in Oneida, Tennessee. He was the son of Elige Morgan and Nannie Mae (Foster) Morgan. He married Hattie (Couch) Morgan on March 26, 1954. She survives.

He is also survived by sons, Michael (Vivian) Morgan of Edinburgh and Doyle Ray (Debbie) Morgan of Columbus; a daughter, Lisa (Randy) Dorton of Edinburgh; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Darryl Edward Morgan; a daughter, Patricia Diane Phegley; a grandson, Kyle Eugene Morgan; sisters, Marie Abbott, Elveda Perry, and Kathleen Vanover.

He served in the Army from 1951 through 1954. He attended Church Of God Mt. Assembly in Columbus. He was a member of the American Legion Post 233 and he retired from Arvin Industries in Franklin after 23 years. He was a Nascar fan, enjoyed watching football and enjoyed listening to Blue Grass gospel music.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2015, by Bishop Bob Vance at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home. Calling will be from 1 until 5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
