Riding for HOPE

Staff reports

About 1,520 bicycle riders participated in the annual Hope Ride on Saturday, said Lisa Moore, one of the event staffers.

Morning rain held down number of participants, she said. Last year’s event had a record 2,200 riders.

The Hope Ride serves as a fundraiser for charities, including food banks.
