Edward “Spunk” McGaha, 93, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

He was born April 27, 1922, in Columbia, Kentucky, to Otis “Peck” McGaha and Lillie (Burton) McGaha. He married Beulah B. (Bryant) and she preceded him in death on September 26, 1969.

He is survived by a son Larry Dean (Shirley) McGaha of Edinburgh, Indiana; daughters Linda McGaha and Pamela (Darryl) Emerson both of Edinburgh; brother Roy (Lula) McGaha of Franklin, Indiana; daughter-in-law Carolyn McGaha of Edinburgh, Indiana; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a son, Elby McGaha; brothers, Vernon, William, Osbert, Eugene and Ondia McGaha; and a sister, Eva Bryant.

He retired in 1985 after 38 years of service as a Group Leader at Hamilton Cosco in Columbus, Indiana. He was a member of Carpenter’s Union #1155 of Columbus, Indiana.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, fishing and camping.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana with the Rev. Ron Ellis officiating. Calling will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana.
