Brenda F. Cooper, 72, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away Wednesday September 23, 2015, at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born July 24, 1943, in Adair Co., Kentucky, to Cautis H. Burris and Nancy Savannah (Streeval) Burris. She married Earnest Jack Cooper June 26, 1992, and he preceded her in death December 25, 2013.
Survivors include daughters, Nancy (Troy) Burton and Kimberly S. Blair, both of Edinburgh, Indiana; brothers, Carlie Burris of Edinburgh, Odell Burris of Edinburgh, Billy (Patty) Burris of Taylorsville, and Jerry Burris of Edinburgh; a sister, Peggy (James) Coffey, Edinburgh; and grandsons, Adam Weber and Jonathan Burton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Margie Harmon and Judy Burris.
Mrs. Cooper was a 1962 graduate of Edinburgh High School and a 63-year member of Edinburgh Assembly of God Church. She retired from Lear Corporation in Edinburgh in 2008 after 40 years of service.
She was an inspiration to her family and friends, she enjoyed reading her Bible, helping at church and was a church greeter.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, September 28, 2015, at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with the Rev. Stacy Tucker officiating. Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
