INDOT to close I-65 travel lanes

The Indiana Department of Transportation plans to close outside travel lanes on Interstate 65 at two locations south of Franklin tonight to replace and repair guardrails.

The lane closings will be the northbound I-65 right lane just south of Big Blue River and the southbound I-65 right lane at the Sugar Creek Bridge.

Restrictions begins at 9 p.m. They will be lifted before 6 a.m. Thursday, INDOT officials said.

Reith-Riley is the state’s contractor for the $21 million repair and resurfacing project along 8.2 miles of I-65 between State Road 44 at Franklin and State Road 252 at Edinburgh.
