Kathleen K. Simpson, 68, of Columbus, Indiana,, passed away October 4, 2015, at her daughter’s residence in Edinburgh, Indiana. Born July 21, 1947, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Ralph A. and Wanda A. (Newman) Malling. They preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Tyler (Denise) O’Brien of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Kelly R. (Brian) Abbett of Edinburgh, Indiana; five grandchildren, Sean Scrivnor, Lucy O’Brien, Tara Abbett, Casey Abbett, and Hunter Senn; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Keith (Debbie) Malling of Beech Grove, Indiana; and a sister, Jeannine Evens of Greenwood, Indiana.
Mrs. Simpson attended the Ridge Church in Columbus. She cherished her time with family and friends. She was an avid animal lover.
Her funeral service will be conducted by the Reverend Guy Hardin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church, 905 S. Main St., in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
