Hauser tops Trinity

OSGOOD — Tyler Davis scored his second goal of the game in overtime Wednesday to give Hauser a 3-2 win against Trinity Lutheran and a spot in the sectional final.

Aaron Sweet scored the other goal, while A.J. Titus and Jared Schoen had assists for the Jets (6-5-3). Hauser, which twice overcame one-goal deficits in regulation, will play host Jac-Cen-Del at 2 p.m. Saturday.

“We had opportunities to win it in regulation and couldn’t get it done,” Hauser coach Andy Hunnicutt said. “Trinity Lutheran played really, really hard.”

Chris Rust and Bobby Tabeling scored the goals for the Cougars. AJ Goecker and Rust had assists.

Panthers move into final

BATESVILLE — Zach Taylor converted a penalty kick in 66th minute to give Jennings County a 1-0 win against South Dearborn in the Batesville Sectional semifinals.

The Knights outshot the Panthes (10-6-2) 12-6. Jackson Shepherd recorded eight saves.

Jennings will play East Central in the finals at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Owls to play Olympians

Seymour handed Madison a 3-0 loss in the semifinals of the Columbus East Sectional to advance to Saturday’s final against the host Olympians.

Daniel Hartman, Brayan Morales and Kyle Jones scored goals for the Owls (1-5-2). Mason Pottschmidt had two assists.

Seymour outshot the Cubs 19-6. Austin Hatfield recorded four saves.
