SEYMOUR — Cummins Inc. will have a ribbon cutting and tours today to celebrate completion of construction at the Seymour Technical Center.
The event will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the center, 800 E. Third St. The new building is a global technical center office space for the high-horsepower engine business, Cummins officials said.
The center is located near the Seymour Engine Plant and to 22 test cells dedicated to engine research and development work for mining, rail, oil and gas, marine, power generation and industrial applications.
About 1,100 employees work at the Seymour Technical Center and Seymour Engine Plant.
