Deanna A. Wilson

Westerville, Ohio

Deanna A. Wilson, age 65, currently of Westerville and a 20-plus-year resident of Upper Arlington, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015.

Deanna was born and raised in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of the late Arthur and Bette Arnholt.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Arnholt.

Deanna graduated from Columbus High School in 1968 and while there also held the crown of Miss Columbus Indiana. Following, she went on to graduate from Indiana University, Class of 1972. Deanna worked for 14 years as a paralegal for the State of Ohio with both the Public Defender and the Attorney General’s Office before retiring in December of 2010.

She was a member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, the Junior League of Columbus, Pleasure Guild, and the Upper Arlington Civic Association, which while there, Deanna was most proud of the year she led “The Walk,” raising a record amount of funding.

Deanna was a kind, loving, and intelligent woman who had a strong faith in God. She enjoyed needlepoint, horses, reading, and cherished her family vacations. Most of all however, Deanna loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She expressed unconditional love towards her family and always put them first.

She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 43 years, Thomas Wilson; children, Christopher Wilson and Megan (Dennis) Brooks; granddaughters, Mackenzie and Campbell; sister, Lynda (Larry) Overholt; sisters-in-law, Linda Arnholt and Cathy Suthard; and many other extended family members and dear friends.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2  p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, 2300 Lytham Road, where family will receive friends from 1 p.m.. until time of service Tuesday.

Arrangements were made by Schoedinger Northwest Chapel.
