A controlled fire at Camp Atterbury filled the sky of southern Johnson County with white smoke Thursday afternoon and evening.
Officials at the military installation near Edinburgh told the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office they would be doing a controlled burn, Sheriff Doug Cox said. No emergency or accident had taken place.
The smoke could be seen for miles.
