Stephen Douglas Krebbs, 62, of Columbus, died at 9:01 p.m. Friday in Kindred Hospital Indianapolis South at Greenwood.
Born in Columbus on March 5, 1953, Steve was the son of Harold Dean and Edna Charlene Mahoney Krebbs. He married Barbara Hulfachor on Oct. 13, 1979, in Columbus and she survives.
Steve had worked for Golden Foundry and David R. Webb. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge and the American Legion and enjoyed playing cards and bowling, the river boat and spending time with family and friends.
The funeral service for Steve to celebrate his life will be at 1 p. m. Tuesday in Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl St. Burial will follow in Garland Brook Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Steve is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son, Stephen Dean Krebbs of Columbus; grandchildren, Chase Xavier Krebbs, stationed with the U. S. Air Force in Lackland Air Forece Base in Texas, Lance Ryan Krebbs, Columbus and Austin Mathis Krebbs, Elizabethtown; a sister, Connie (Rick) Chapman of North Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Karen Bryant-Krebbs; and brothers, Terry and Rocky Krebbs.
